Seven Years Old

It is hard to believe that our dog Alexis has turned seven years old today. We picked her out of the litter when she was just two weeks old and brought her home at six weeks. She immediately adjusted to our house and our lives. Alexis has been very much like a child to us, and often times acts like one.

Alexis has started to slow down a little bit, not lasting as long playing ball or frisbee, but she is just as hyper as ever. In fact today she was romping around the house with a toy and chasing Flash. In comparison Alexis still seems much younger than Flash. I think she will always be a puppy. As my sister-in-law Jody said, “Once a puppy, always a puppy.” Here is hoping we have seven more years with Alexis.
