Quick Password Manager

If you are like me you accumulate a lot of different passwords for different things.  The problem is how do you track them all.  A lot of people use password managers, and I have found them very useful.  There are a lot of them out there too, so depending on what you are looking for, you may want to try something different.  The one I use is a very simple iPhone app called Quick Password Manager.

Quick Password Manager stores the passwords locally on your iPhone and does not sync them online.  Nor does it allow other iPhone apps to have access to them.  This was a nice feature to me as I have been hearing a lot about online passwords programs getting hacked.  Along with saving passwords, you can also add in websites, notes, etc for your password entries.  Quick Password Manager comes with a built in password generator, so if you are unsure what password to use you can create one.  And like other password programs, you can lock the app with a PIN or password, so even if someone got a hold of your iPhone they wouldn’t be able to get into the app.

Quick Password Manager also comes with the ability to export and import to external apps if you want to sync outside of the app.  It can do this with email, iTunes, and even Dropbox.  However with all the security issues surrounding Dropbox, I am not sure I will personally use that feature either.

So if you are looking for a simple and cheap app to store your passwords on your iPhone, I would give Quick Password Manager a try.  It is a good app, and for only 99 cents it is literally a steal.
