Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater
One of the cooler places my wife and I have found to eat is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios. Basically all the tables are setup like old fashioned cars pointing at a big, drive in screen. Sadly though there is no real move, the screen just goes through clips and advertisements over and over again. But if you can get past that, and enjoy the nostalgia of eating in a drive-in car, this is the place to be.
The food is decent, it is what I would call slightly above park food. It has what you would expect from a drive-in theme restaurant, burgers, shakes, etc. But beyond that, it does offer a nice break from the heat and chaos of the rest of the park. The tables can feel a bit cramped at times, as you are being packed into a mini-car. Also make sure to get to this restaurant early, or make a reservation as it does tend to fill up quickly.
So if you are looking for something a little fun and different to do lunch at, and have some time to maybe wait, I would recommend the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. And what it may lack in the way of food, it does make up for in ambiance.
