Set File Explorer to Open This PC

By defailt in Windows 10 when you click to open File Explorer (formerly Windows Explorer) it opens to Quick Access instead of This PC like it used to.  This settings is pretty easy to change if you want to go back to having it open This PC.

  • thispcOpen File Explorer
  • Click on the View ribbon
  • Select Options
  • On the General tab change Open File Explorer to This PC instead of Quick Access
  • Click OK and you’re done

Now when you open File Explorer it will open to This PC instead of Quick Access.  I find this more useful as when I open File Explorer I want to see the root fille system of the computer, instead of some shortcut icons.
