Box – 50GB for Apple iOS Users
There are a lot of cloud based storage services out there, such as Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. Well here is another one called Box. Box has been around for a while, and works a lot like Dropbox, allowing you to store and share files in the cloud. So why is this one so different? Well they recently updated their iOS app, and to celebrate for the next few days if you download it and sigup they will give you 50GB of cloud storage for life! Read their blog for more details.
Normally Box starts you off with 10GB, but if you act fast with your iPhone or iPad you can score a full 50GB for free. There is a limitation for their free, personal account. Box limits your max file size to 250mb, so keep that in mind in deciding how you want to use it. What I have found it great to be is a photo repository to upload all the pictures off my iPad and iPhone into the cloud and freeing up a lot of space. Even with the max file size being 250mb, most pictures are between 1-2mb, meaning you can upload a lot of pictures and save room on your iPhone or iPad for iOS updates. Box also has some other great features that make it good for photo storage, such as being able to make comments on files and tag files.
So if you are reading this post and have an iOS device, there are still a few days to get your free 50GB of space from Box for life, but you better hurry, this is a limited time offer.
